Duck started cutting hair at age 12 after receiving a pair of clippers for Christmas. When hearing his response to the question, who would allow a 12-year old to cut their hair? You quickly understand his entrepreneurial spirit. Kids in the neighborhood would receive $10 to go to the neighborhood barber. Instead of going to the barbershop, they would pay Duck $5 to cut their hair and spend the rest on ice cream!
Duck grew up in Barry Farms in Southeast Washington, DC and attended Ballou High School. He acquired his skills through a Barber Science program and apprenticeships. Duck identifies one of his most admired traits as being patient. This patience translates to precision cuts and grooming.
Duck enjoys writing (and is the author of three novels), horseback riding, bowling and roller skating.
